Responsible Citizens of California Launch Party Cancelled Until Further Notice!

It is with great regret that the Responsible Citizens of California (RCC) must announce the cancellation of our official launch party, scheduled for Sunday, July 25.

At the eleventh hour, the venue for our event, which just hours before had ...confirmed the details of our launch party with us, fell through due to “staffing issues”. RCC sincerely hopes that this turn of events was not caused by any outside influence from organizations that are attempting to limit the gun rights of law abiding citizens.

RCC was able two locate two suitable backup locations for the launch party, but these venues fell within the 1,000 foot gun free school zone limitation imposed by the California Penal Code. This prohibitive restriction is highly limiting to the ability of citizens to legally carry firearms for personal protection. RCC fully plans to address the issue of gun free school zones in the not-so-distant future.

The Responsible Citizens of California would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this last-minute cancellation of our launch party may have resulted in. RCC will continue to work on the front lines to protect and advance carry rights for responsible, law abiding citizens in the State of California.

Sincerely,

Adnan Shahab

I will be there

As the Executive Vice President of the Responsible Citizens of California, I would like to personally invite anyone and everyone who is interested in open carry specifically, and in gun rights more generally, to join us at our official launch party. This will be the perfect opportunity for everyone to socialize, discuss the state of open carry, and come together as one for the purpose of protecting and advancing carry rights within California.

I will also be there. We need as many groups and people there as we can get. We need to all talk and learn from each other and be on the same page.
If we all work together, it will be a lot easier to meet our goals.

It would be really nice to have a single website that links to all the local open carry groups and has a central mailing list that is moderated for official open carry event announcements.
