Metro Investigates Third OIS in Eight days

LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating another Officer-involved shooting on the Southwest side of the valley Sunday.

Around 4:15pm Metro responded to a domestic violence call involving a suspect with a deadly weapon at the Summerhill Pointe apartments on Sahara near Fort Apache. Upon arrival Metro Officers encountered the suspect, who is a 27-year-old male, and a altercation ensued in which multiple officers fired multiple shots striking the suspect several times.

The suspect was taken by ambulance to UMC where he was rushed into surgery. His condition is unknown at this time.

This is the third Officer-involved shooting involving Metro Officer in the past eight days.

Is Metro trying to break their record for most OIS in a year? At this rate, they're not going to have any officers on the street. They'll all be on paid administrative leave waiting on the rubber-stamp coroner's report.
