It is with great regret that the Responsible Citizens of California (RCC) must announce the cancellation of our official launch party, scheduled for Sunday, July 25.

At the eleventh hour, the venue for our event, which just hours before had confirmed the details of our launch party with us, fell through due to “staffing issues”. RCC sincerely hopes that this turn of events was not caused by any outside influence from organizations that are attempting to limit the gun rights of law abiding citizens.

RCC was able two locate two suitable backup locations for the launch party, but these venues fell within the 1,000 foot gun free school zone limitation imposed by the California Penal Code. This prohibitive restriction is highly limiting to the ability of citizens to legally carry firearms for personal protection. RCC fully plans to address the issue of gun free school zones in the not-so-distant future.

The Responsible Citizens of California would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this last-minute cancellation of our launch party may have resulted in. RCC will continue to work on the front lines to protect and advance carry rights for responsible, law abiding citizens in the State of California.

Sincerely,

Adnan Shahab
Executive Vice President, Responsible Citizens of California
