I know you cannot conceal until 21, but how does SB1108 help 18-20 year olds. What about having your firearm in the glove box?
First and foremost, please read the law: http://tinyurl.com/ARS133102 .I know you cannot conceal until 21, but how does SB1108 help 18-20 year olds. What about having your firearm in the glove box?
Whoops! I overlooked the part of your question about ages 18-21. You can find the answers in ARS 13-3102.B.1 & B.3 of http://tinyurl.com/ARS133102 .I know you cannot conceal until 21, but how does SB1108 help 18-20 year olds. What about having your firearm in the glove box?
People without a permit have always been able to place their firearms in a glove box or center console (as long as they are in a holster), and this includes 18-20 year olds. As far as carrying on your person in your vehicle when you are driving or what not, you are going to get different responses as far as what is "legal". I know this has been posted before and I'm sure someone will help clarify being that I am not as familiar with it as others.
You both are not completely correct.Whoops! I overlooked the part of your question about ages 18-21. You can find the answers in ARS 13-3102.B.1 & B.3 of http://tinyurl.com/ARS133102 .
Specifically, ARS 13-3102.B.3(e) allows 18-21 year olds to carry a holstered gun in the glove box.

That OR is very important. It means that a firearm can be carried ANYWHERE in the car as long as it is in a case, holster, scabbard, pack, or luggage. If not in any of those, it needs to be in a storage compartment, map pocket, trunk, or glove compartment.ARS 13-3102 B3e said:3. A firearm that is carried in:
(e) A case, holster, scabbard, pack or luggage that is carried within a means of transportation OR within a storage compartment, map pocket, trunk or glove compartment of a means of transportation.
