Pechanga Gun Show scheduled for August 7-8 has been cancelled by order of the DOJ.

This had been confirmed from two guns companies.

This posted for notice to our southern California members to be aware of your time.

Who do you think you are?

This post is false. The gun show was canceled by the owners of the casino where it was to be held. This is why you don't post internet rumors without research.

1) Yesterday, I got a called from the gun owner.
2) I found nothing from the internet for confirmed.
3) I called Pechanga for confirmed.
4) Hours later, I found this from other gun owner's: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showpost.php?p=4703383&postcount=12
5) And I didn't post it until after midnight for good reason.
6) I posted it for our members in southern California to be aware of, NOT YOU.
7) That's why you are so selfish and falsely rumors about me for no good reason.
8) I asking you a resigned letter the West Point.

Wow. This reads like it has been translated from another language by a software translator.

My radar is up.

Apologies from Pechanga Resort & Casino

Pechanga Resort & Casino is very sorry to have to cancel the Elite Firearms Expo this weekend.

Under our agreement with the State of California, “Possession of firearms shall be prohibited at all times in the Gaming Facility” Sec. 10.6.

We apologize for the mistake in originally booking this event. Sales staff honestly did not know that state regulations don’t permit gun shows at the casino.

As much as we were looking forward to this event, it would be illegal for Pechanga to host any type of gun show at our facility due to this prohibition.

If you wish to learn more about our Tribal-State Compact with the State of California, it can be found here: http://www.cgcc.ca.gov/documents/enabling/tsc.pdf

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience to everyone.

There is a much more comprehensive discussion of this over on CalGuns.org.
Some high-points:
A) Friends of NRA had their fund-raising meeting there recently complete with real gun raffles.
B) Why does the management there not know what the agreement with the state says?
C) Are the commercial promoters going to be reimbursed for expenses, advertising, lost revenue, etc.?
D) What about folks who show up for a gun show that's not there?

So would a Gun show in outdoor tenting be classed as the gaming facility?

So would an exhibit area in outdoor tenting be classed as the gaming facility? I would expect not but the hierarchy closed the event as you would be on "Indian Nation land" and therefore not be under any california laws for purchase of weapons. It'd become a free for all buying whatever weapons are available.( That could be interesting ! ) However once you get out of the "Indian Nation land" then you obviously become under the scrutiny of California law about illegal guns in California not DOJ recognized! Just a thought

Does a federal FFL specify where in the state a gun may be sold? If not there is your federal permission for the show. You can't sell a gun if you don't possess a gun. It would stop private sales though, dealer sales only.
It is my understanding that indian law is based on state law, so if gun sales are allowed anywhere in the state then they can be allowed on indian land.
Only went to one indian casino, but didn't see any gaming machines in the conference rooms.

Tribal police could deputize everyone who puts up a table for the show. If you have a gun in kommifornia there is no way you are anything but an upstanding citizen above reproach. Just have the ticket say "good for one honest citizen to be deputy for a day while attending the gun show."

Repeal by citizen initiative next election. Creative title "Indian Sovereignty For Prosperity" or some such.
Possibly just wait for the gay marriage equal protection to succeed, then use same argument, indians are denied equal protection since everyone else in the state can buy and sell guns.

Or just move east where the air is free of the stench of government oppression.
