reason for carrying a handgun in Oregon?

hi guys, i live in washington and have a resident CPL and im planning to take a class at cabelas
to qualify for my non resident Utah and Oregon CPLs.
only question ive got is, what is the requirement for good cause to get the Oregon permit?
is it a trick question, do i need specific reasons for good cause, or just "self defense"
when i travel to your state.
any specifics that need to be in the reason that i want to carry in Oregon?

BTW, i lived in Eugene in 1968 when i went to Roosevelt HS for 9th grade.

Search this forum for "grant county" and you'll find that the Grant County sheriff is pretty much going to issue for non-resident. "Self Defense" should be all you need to put on the application.

The sheriff there has gone out of his way to issue non-resident licenses to adjacent states residents.

No tricks, no BS, he simply believes in YOUR right to carry.
