Cannot open carry or concealed carry in any Maine state park from May 1st ~ September 30th.

How interesting - I've never seen state law carry restrictions only in effect for tourist season before.

So if we did something in October we would be in the clear? I was thinking it would be better to go off season any way. We wouldn't have to pay to get in and still run into the public. More importantly it really doesn't matter what time of year we do a gathering at a place like Two Lights. There's always tourist. Good call crdonov for asking about that!! :-)

Myself, the NRA and a number of legislators are challenging the "rule" on constitutional grounds and the preemption clause.
