Oh boy, I finally have a legitimate reason to be on school property and OC.

Please cite the law (or is it a lack thereof?) both federal and state that pertains to firearms in polling places?
Gun control isn't about the gun at all.... for those who want gun control it is all about their own fragile egos, their own lack of self esteem, their own inner fears, and most importantly... their own desire to dominate others. And an openly carried gun is a slap in the face to all of those things.

My Polling location changed from Eastpointe library to an elementary school. I OCed there without any issues this morning.

OC'd on my bicycle to a doctor's office on 10 mile today, no issues, not even a single comment. I even got a chuckle from the nurse when I told her to subtract 3# from the scale for my gun/ammo.

Looks like I found a good general physician within walking/riding distance.

Riding back up Lawn st to Frazho, so I could drop off a Rx at Rite-Aid, I had a RPD pass by me. The car was heading towards me on my strong side. I nodded to the officer but I couldn't really see thru the windshield glare very well to see if they responded. No issues.

I too OCed at my polling place with no issues!
Anything I post may be my opinion and not the law... you are responsible to do your own verification.

Blackstone (1753-1765) maintains that "the law holds that it is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."

I opened carried while I voted. It was in a church's annex. I got a few raised eyebrows and even pasted a LEO who did a double take on the way out but no problems, although I was only there for 10 minutes.

I know a church official could have asked me to leave but I am not sure if a poll worker could have.

I'd be interested in a legal opinion on whether a church official could ask you to leave. The church signed a lease to the state for voting purposes. I'd say, for election day, the leased area becomes state property, covered by preemption.

I OCed voting too. Think I scared the lady with the name labels though, she got the wrong one twice. If it were illegal, why would someone go to a place, and leave their adress, and show their DL. ?

Sorry, I decided an uninformed 'no-vote' was better than going 'eenie meenie minee moe'. I promise to become better aware of the candidates, and their beliefs, before election time.*
