Thread: Just curious everyone's age
If this has been a topic before I apologize.
OCers are a different breed than most gun owners and I was just curious the ages of folks here.
I started OCing in my 40s mainly because I didn't know it was legal, due in part to deceptive LE agancies.
I'm 44 (hope we have all age groups!)

I was just curious how many younger people are into open carry. It usually seems like it's people over 30 who take an active part in the advancing 2A issues.
I was very encouraged to see so many who initially answered where younger, they are important to the future & the future state of the 2A when my little one is grown.
So I guess mabe I was more than "just curious"
Us who are a little older need to always involve the youth in whatever ways we can.

i got to open carry back in the mid 80's to about 90 something, my land, and adjacent areas. back then you had to have permission from the chief of police to oc in public, and that was reserved for respected business owners, out on bank transactions. i won't disclose the location(s), but i did get a taste of it.
Wow. I'm certain if the average person had to get the chiefs permission in my town he'd say no.
I'm glad things are moving in our favor lately. Thats why I love these type of forums.
50 today 8/4/2010

49 and can still do back flips and kick over my head only when I lose my balance , on a good day i can walk a straight line ! Getting old thus far is still a good thing.
I'm so old.....
When a child I farted one day.. the scientists call it the "Big Bang"... and now look at all the crap I started.........
A nurse named Matt in a hospital in Marquette said.. and I quote:
"There are lots of medicines for treating Alzheimers... but no one remembers what they are."
and the only reason I remember him saying that is I wrote it down.... but forgot where I put that bit of paper... found it today while sitting in a smelly room contemplating the universe.
Gun control isn't about the gun at all.... for those who want gun control it is all about their own fragile egos, their own lack of self esteem, their own inner fears, and most importantly... their own desire to dominate others. And an openly carried gun is a slap in the face to all of those things.
the only thing i can add to a profound post like that is; it is important, when contemplating the universe, that everything comes out ok in the end.
