Long time lurker here!

Joseph-Beth Booksellers recently opened in the new retail area behind the Spotsylvania Mall (Fredericksburg area). I've shopped there several times but it appears that they just put up an anti-gun sign: "Possession of any firearms is strictly prohibited." See photo below.

I did not enter and went across the street to the Borders in Central Park to make my purchases. I sent a message through their website, but as it stands now I won't be going back to Joseph-Beth.

That sign is conflicting. It says "Any firearms" but displays only a picture of a wheelgun.

They should be more consistent in their signage. That way we'd all know to stay out of their self-inflicted Gun-free zone.

I was under the impression that Central Park was also posted.

Although I know there has been discussion about if you enter through one of the stores that do not themselves post. And that B&N is generally tolerant of OC, in spite of some of their rent-a-cops' ideas.

stay safe.

Central Park is a different area (on the north side of Rte 3) from Spotsylvania Town Center (formerly Spotsylvania Mall). Central Park is a very large area containing many separate buildings.
