This info is clipped from the "MD Shooters" forum, and I know it's short notice, but any of the folks in MD who are interested in getting MD's laws changed or reformed might want to check this out. At the very least, THIS meeting might be a little more interesting that usual, because I'm going to be there. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to realize who I am, and escort me out of the meeting...

And they will be streaming the audio for this meeting, so you can log in and listen to the proceedings, even if you're not a member of MSI or "MD Shooters". Info for accessing the audio stream is at the bottom of the announcement.

-------------------------------------------------------------

"Spot77",

I think my comportment at this meeting was honorable, polite, and respectful. I listened, learned a LOT, and met some interesting people. I smiled, shook hands, discussed the issues at hand, and as is ALWAYS the case in person (and on the internet) stuck to the facts, called things like I see them, and did it in a polite, diplomatic, and solid manner.

(A meeting, which was announced as a public meeting, BTW. If it were a members-only meeting, and I would have been told that, I would have gladly left--there are PLENTY of places in Annapolis I could have gone where I wouldn't be stalked, spied on and later threatened with color-of-law trespassing charges for being politically incorrect...)

I never made threats to disrupt a meeting. I merely suggested that considering the warm and loving reception I received on another forum, I was fully expecting to be barred from attending this meeting as well, based simply on who I was.

I didn't join today because the membership year runs from September to September, and as a full-time graduate student, it doesn't make much economic sense to pay a year's dues for 2 months membership. I was fully intending on joining after the fiscal year runs out Sept. 30, which was why I grabbed a membership brochure.

Now, I think I'll spend my money and time on VCDL, GRNC, and SCCC, where I won't be shadowed, tailed, and monitored like I'm the subject of some sort COINTELPRO operation, but rather am judged by my deeds, my personal comportment, and the value and usefulness of my research...

I never asserted that the MD Constitution has a individual 2A clause. I was referring to Article 4, which says that the PEOPLE have ultimate authority over the policies of the Government and the Police, and I was curious as to why the PEOPLE haven't ever evoked that as a defense against the self-established and spurious procedures the MSP uses for issuing carry permits.

If anyone wants to talk to me about how "honorable" or "genuine" my interestes are regarding MD gun laws--as a MD property owner, and the father of two daughters and a granddaughter in that state--I will gladly do so in person, in an open, public forum, where the only censorship that will be effective will the same sort of tactics MD officials use on videographers.

I've already been made acutely aware that the 1A is not a right that is up for discussion on "gun rights" forums...

And so, I refuse to further engage any member of any other MD-related forum, or any other MD gun rights-related organization via the Internet. Every time I try to do so, I get piled onto and banned, have my words twisted and taken out of context, am outright slandered, and have my posts deleted.

I think my reportage and your version of what happened speak volumes for the "honor" of our respective viewpoints. I came to listen, to learn, and to meet some people face-to-face. You set me up with a "handler" and then cyber-stalked my commentary on another forum.

'Nuff sed.

Admins, PLEASE lock this thread.

Apparently, the people who attacked me in it have now thrown their own threatening commentary down the "memory hole" to cover their tracks.

Please spare me further slander...
