Went and hung out in Santa Clara and Milpitas...visited several stores, The Great Mall, Tapioca Delight, and this wonderful Philly Cheesesteak place near the PD. Limited contact with Santa Clara PD, one drove past, looked and waved. Kept moving.

While inside the Great Mall today, two Security Officers and one Police Officer walked past me. I looked at them and nodded, they nodded back. The weapon was in plain view, and here I am typing this message. No negative contact.

We must have been at the mall for at least three hours (group).

Thank you, that's great to hear.
I think for many Law Enforcement agencies in CA open carry is becoming "not such a big deal."
It is very encouraging, especially for new-comers, to hear of non-incidents like yours.

I carried loaded this past Sunday, but I was out on BLM land miles from any incorporated city. Two guns, in fact: my 9mm sidearm and my .22 bolt action. The only ones who objected were the jackrabbits and ground squirrels.
