    Acadia not Arcadia

    Just a fyi.........
    It is Acadia National Park, not Arcadia.

    There is no "R" in Acadia.

    I care. If someone writes a letter to a newspaper or gov't official, they should spell Acadia properly. If anyone is pronouncing it with an "r", they would look foolish if interviewed by the media.


    I am not a spelling fascist, etc. Just wanted to give a heads up.

    Arcadia is a common mispronunciation of Acadia. I still smile when the tourist up here ask what they should do in Arcadia.

    Do not think I am picking on anyone on these boards. I admire everyone here and am glad this forum exists.
