Question Extra magazines. Do they have to be open carried?

I haven't OC'd outside of private property in WI before. Do extra magazines need to be OC'd on a belt or other means or can you use a pocket holster for a spare magazine?

I have both so it makes no difference. When I'm off private property I just want to follow the law.

Legal advise is worth precisely what you paid for it.

Here's a link URL to "the law".

The carry restrictions do not apply to ammunition or magazines.

You can find legal citations regarding OC here: www.wisconsincarry.org/legal.html

There is a pamphlet available for download here: http://www.wisconsincarry.org/pdf/OCpamphletR16.pdf

Welcome! When you are ready to OC for the first time in public, there are plenty of folks that will help you take that trip the first time. Check out this thread for a list of people who are willing to "adopt a first timer"
