Exclamation Some Pontiac officials are criminals

Ben - those folks will never follow the law period. They have made it crystal clear. The only way to make them do what they swore to, is to target them as we have in Royal Oak. In my honest opinion, we need to organize public appearances at city wide events (if they have any left?) to draw media attention to their disregard for the law. Maybe start with simple 20 - 30 member strolls in the downtown business/entertainment areas. This will get media attention which will expose the officials for what they are: criminals who pick & choose what laws they will abide by & which they will simply ignore.

Edited - there is always a way to achieve justice. Sorry I didn't mean to be so negative kyle - I admire your spunk. Didn't mean to be an a$$hat

I think G9OS' avatar says it all...

My only thought is wait to tackle this one once you take care of Royal Oak! You don't want to stretch you volunteers too thin!
Anything I post may be my opinion and not the law... you are responsible to do your own verification.

Blackstone (1753-1765) maintains that "the law holds that it is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."

Army, I can not make it to this weeks meeting due to doctors appointments and work. However I can be at the Aug 26th meeting. I will be there to support in any way I can. Also the Free Press is working on a major article for firearm rights. One of the things discussed is cities who are refusing to comply in changing illegal ordinances. Pontiac was mentioned. Look forward to seeing everyone in Pontiac. To anyone able to make it this week, thank you in advance for your efforts.

Question Do we have a head count for attendance?

No point in showing up if there's only going to be 2 of us. These folks will just laugh at us. We need at least a dozen of us there. JMHO.

I know myself, Scot623, and NHCGRPR45 will be there. I hope to see a great turnout. The more that show up the better, but even a few of us can make a difference. I think with the latest media attention in RO, that they will listen. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

If you wish to address the council as a member of the public, please take note of the following (especially that you need to give the staff a "public discussion card" before 6pm):

"The public may address the council during the public discussion portion of the agenda. You must
complete a public discussion card located in the City Council Office. Please indicate on the card your name, address, and topic(s) for discussion, and leave your card with the City Council Office staff prior to the start of the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Citizens will be allowed five (5) minutes to discuss city business during a council meeting; and
provided further, the Council President shall determine the order in which each person may speak.
City Council Rule VI-D (Adopted 2/27/03)"
