Evan Marshall had a conversation with a brother officer in the parking lot of a bank. He chided the officer for not going armed while off duty--especially since he had his 10 year old son with him! The man did not/would not see the necessity of an off duty firearm--even though in Detroit criminals would routinely execute those found to be cops during armed robberies. Evan left and the officer and his son went into the bank. A few minutes later 'shots fired' at the bank--sure enough the bank was stuck up just after Evan left--the robbers found the cops ID in his wallet and executed him in front of his son. It is beyond me why all police are not armed at all times.
