Various & Sundry Names for Guns Spanning the Years.

OK, while alot of the posts here are of a serious nature, I thought it might be nice to break up the normal serious tones and see what this topic might gather.

Over the many years that guns (primarily handguns, but long guns as well) have been around they have been called different things and given slang names such as heaters, ventilators, pieces.

So, what other names have you heard guns referred to or called them yourself?

This should prove interesting.

Small Cal. = pea shooter
Large cal. = cannon

Had an older gent as a neighbor once who claimed his "'Betsy' never broke his heart but you sure didn't want to be in front of her if she starts spoutin' ", talking about his Winchester rifle.
