Dear ABE sponsor:

Mr. Witz the promoter of this festival has started a petition asking the state legislators to infringe upon gun owners, the US 2nd Amendment, as well as the state constitution to ban firearms in public places. http://www.artsbeatseats.com/?q=node/32

I find his action deplorable and as a sponsor I urge you to contact the promoter and demand he remove the petition immediately.

Gun owners make up about 80,000,000 people in the US and Michigan alone has almost 300,000 concealed pistol holders, plus countless others that keep and bear arms. This represents a large market demographic.

Starbucks recently decided to follow state law and support the right to bear arms. Just months after Starbucks announced that they would allow lawful carry of handguns their sale jumped 7%. Several major corporations also follow state law in regards to bearing arms in their store. In this down market I’m sure you would welcome an increase in sales.

Gun owners are loyal customers and will patronize those businesses that support all our rights. Conversely they will boycott and encourage others to boycott businesses that infringe upon our rights. They have websites that list anti-gun business for all to see and they do shop where their rights are welcome.

If ABE festival continues to be anti-gun, I and millions of others will no longer support your products. So contact them immediately and let them know where you stand on this issue.

Parties in the Agreement: ABE Inc, City Of Royal Oak, DDA (Downtown Development Authority).

The DDA pays ABE Inc. $100,000 per year Sponsorship Fee to ABE Inc to "host" the festival, which will be reimbursed by the City Of Royal Oak from parking revenue.

ABE Inc. puts up the website that has the "Help Make Festivals Gun Free Zones" web page (http://www.artsbeatseats.com/?q=node/32).

Arguments:

Could this web page when compared to 7b above possibly be construed as attempting to violate person's rights and therefore be found to be in violation of contract provisions?

Since money from the City Of Royal Oak and/or DDA is being used to fund this festival, could it be seen that resident's funds are used to host this website listed above and using this funding source to advocate violating a person's rights?
