    I need some "advice"

Today is my fiance and I's 1 year anniversary.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what to do.

I was thinking about giving him ammo and he can go to the range then we'll do dinner afterward.

    Sound stupid?

Not at all. Anything that helps him enjoy a day at the range would be, I'm sure, appreciated.

    There's the best idea

Go with him, buy ammo, shoot together (don't forget to wash your hands) then go to dinner

I guarantee you will enjoy yourself, and he will enjoy it almost as much

I'll end up going to the range with him. But not shooting. I have all of the other times we've gone up there, but I'm not wearing closed toed shoes tonight.

The only thing better than your proposed gift is to go with him. There is nothing like shooting with your loved ones.

Ah, so no sawdust on the floor this evening?

In that case... a good gift idea might be a dress holster?

Wrap it in a victoria secret bag to really throw him off. In-laws pulled that one on me my first anniversary.
Of course a box of hollowponts wrapped in a teddy will make you miss dinner, so just use the bag.

    I can't buy ammo.
    But he can.

    Range gift certificate/membership.
    A new gun.

And yes the idea of disguising the gift to appear as something else is great. You could always wrap it in something so the gift appears to be something he does not like to really throw him off. For example, say you like to do a craft like sewing. And him being a typical male is not interested in it. Get him a box of sewing supplies with the real gift inside and tell him something to the extent of "look honey! we can now sew together!"

That's priceless! I'm so about to get to it!! 15 minutes til he gets off. Yes, I like to wait til the last minute.

I also agree with Cabbitone's idea for disguising it. That would be hilarious! Be sure to get a reaction video.
