LOL here is one of the twins heading to Logan tomorrow am.

The rest is a work in progress, designed for 30 round mags and changing without removal from rest. Leveling feet and thumb screws to come, welcome any other thoughts.

Goalsetter your a fabricator, you could whip one of these out in no time, can shoot ya the measurements if you want but that ain't hard for you either, the forward V is on a 1/2 all thread about a foot long in a piece of 1/2" gas line with a PEX tubing (fancy word for plastic) sleeve. Its ghetto fabulous now, but a couple of tweaks and a rattle can paint job and it will be an inexpensive AR rest, if your allowed to say inexpensive and AR in the same sentence.

yah that wouldnt be to bad to make, but i not much of a bench rest shooter. i only use it on sighting in the gun but i generally do fine with just a front rest.

are both of your guns using a collaspable stocks and 30 round mags?

Yep, the only difference in the twins at point of purchase is the optics installed.
Here they are before the lowers came in, this is from last Friday, I never got around to uploading it. Guess who did not know you needed a forward cant mount for a rifle scope :)

LOL you might not be much of a bench rest shooter, nor was I, but when you get old enough trying to shoot 200+ yards, SEEING is more than enough of a task!

My goals for them are, scope is 24 power, fool with some 400-600 yard shots hence the Amax loads and the red dot is a plinker for cans and such at 100 or less.

yah my eye sights not the best. i hate to see what its like wheni older:(. but after seeing the old guys at the high power competition shoot out shooting 7 bullseye out , and 3 -9 point rings shots at 300 meters, open sights. atleast give me comfort knowing that they figured out a way to keep on target with open sights.

they do it differently then most shooters. they have it where the top of the post on the front sight is put at the very bottom of the target, they dont cut the target in half like most people do. i noticed that i do have a lot beter grouping that way. but it sucks that you have to make adjustments for target size. but they only shoot at the same size target, so thats not an issue with them.
