Relatives in Huntington are wondering:

1. Is there a waiting period to purchase a handgun in WV?
2. Are there restrictions on how many firearms you can purchase at a time in WV?

Only in Charleston

Only the City of Charleston, which has local ordinances that are grandfathered under the current preemption law, imposes a waiting period (3 days) and rations (1 per month) handgun sales.

Wow - yet 40 minutes away, in Huntington, this is not a requirement... Explains our confusion - thanks for the immediate reply! Hopefully WVCDL will have a couple more members shortly...
