    Gun Free zone terrorists?

Imagine yourself being some psychopath or terrorist. Try to think like the do for a few minutes, and get into their head so to speak. This important if you want to survive. if you wanted to do a Patrick Purdy, or Virginia Tech style rampage what would be the easiest target of opportunity? The answer is quite simple, any place where they can't shoot back and Police response is slow at best. Once someone engages a shooter by shooting back like a Patrick Purdy they are forced to go from a killing spree to a self defense posture allowing many innocents to escape death. The data has been there for years and no one argues the basic psychology of the active shooter. We all accept that human instinct is for ones own self defense, and when in this mode one can no longer carry out his/her mission whatever that was. When the active shooter is engaged in a life or death battle to preserve their own life (fight or flight) they no longer are a danger to the many victims they sought after. The inane argument that an innocent might accidentally be killed instead of being one of dozens of intended victims of the active shooter (psychopath) borders on insanity, and should be dismissed out of hand as it is illogical to choose to be shot while cowering in the corner terrified, as opposed to fighting back, and more likely stopping the shooter who have his or her attention on another potential victim. In fact if there were several concealed carry students or teachers at Virgina Tech the Psychopath would most likely have not killed and injured so many. The laws of averages would teach us the shooter/psychopath would have been killed before he murdered even as little as a few victims, if any.

Not only am I pro carry in schools by trained students and teachers, but I think anyone who is carrying should be afforded a private training situation with local Police, the school teachers and students where they can learn to work with each other as back ups to each other. This training can be had for cheap. I would also add there be no public records of who carry's at the schools to prevent shooters from targeting the carry participants first, as the element of surprise should be on the Good guys side instead of the psychopaths side. This training cooperation between staff, police and carry students can stop a horrible event before it gets off the ground.

Just a thought... Maybe we need to learn from Israel how to deal with terrorists.

Exo 22:2 "If anyone catches a thief breaking in and hits him so that he dies, he is not guilty of murder.
Luke 22:36: "Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one." Luk 11:21 "When a strong man, with all his weapons ready, guards his own house, all his belongings are safe.

A school is by far the best target for an active shooter psycho. There is minimal if any security, doors are seldom locked, and anyone with any half baked story, package, or box of pizza could get past the locked ones. People are complacent with their safety, and emotional about defense. A school is also where the police are going to respond the slowest, as they will be more careful assessing the situation, setting up perimeters, and will be more cautious about pointing and firing at people. With the lockdown policies in place, things sway even further to the benefit of the shooter and away from the police, locks slow the clearing process, and provide very easy captive and stationary targets for the shooter, while actually providing that shooter with probable cover and concealment.

What proof do they want before they let us protect our kids (since they wont), when it has been proven with the blood of our youth time and again?
