Well, hopefully he's not butthurt over his error!

Glad it wasn't more serious, though. Guess it's a lesson on why holsters are important, even a pocket holster!

That's a painful way to learn the lesson "Keep your finger off the trigger". Hope he has a place on his mantle to put his dinner plate. He will no doubt be eating while standing up for a while. The good news is that it went off in his back pocket. He's no doubt glad he didn't try putting it in his front waistband first.

I see it as no biggie accidents happen. Could it have been prevented.....of course.
But almost all vehicle deaths and injuries are "accidents", and they out number homicide and suicides and accidental firearm deaths combined.

what will you do now to prove you are not stupid?

I have carried a gun in my back pocket for 10+ years...

and never had a problem. Of course a Keltec P32 is designed to be carried sans holster in a back pocket.

He was 52, god I turn 50 next month, I hope it's nothing to do with 50 and you start loosing sense of common safety practices. Maybe a dangerous step up from 40 when I woke and discovered I need reading glasses.
MAYBE THAT'S IT, 52 and all, perhaps he wasn't wearing his glasses and mistaken the wrong gun.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat....Teddy Roosevelt

Except when compared to all the other calibers.

(That reminds of a democracy quote.)
