Openly carry on private property

Curious whether or not i can openly carry on my personal business private property. We have a family owned hardware store in western new york state and i want to know if i can openly carry my pistol as long as i am on my personal property?

Also i have heard of counties around the country having open carry picnics to gain awareness of pistols in community settings.could i host and invite other pistol owners to one of these picnics being on my personal business property?

You sure could in Colorado.

But New York? Who knows? You'd probably get in trouble for disturbing the peace, then get sued for discrimination.
