Kalifornia = unloaded carry. No loaded magazines can be touching the firearm.

*click...click* is the sound of an empty gun.

Exponential refers to the behavior of a function, not the comparison of two numbers. Sorry, that was the math teacher in me sneaking to the surface.

But, I get your point. Not being from CA, I would've assumed that so many more folks live in incorporated areas that the reverse would be true. I guess you are saying that an extremely tiny percentage of folks in towns and cities OC.

Well in all fairness alot of states do...BUT it pretty much only refers to firearms being loaded in vehicles.

I got bored so i made a list of states which do not allow loaded handguns in a vehicle without a permit(information courtesy of the OCDO maps)

These states require a permit to carry a loaded handgun in a vehicle.

    Washington state
    North Dakota
    Oklahoma
    Arkansas
    Iowa
    Minnesota
    Illinois
    Tennessee
    Alabama
    Florida
    Michigan
    Ohio
    Pennsylvania
    Washington DC
    New Jersey
    New Hampshire
    Connecticut
    Rhode Island
    Maine
    New York

ONLY california restricts loaded carrying of handguns.

for on topic reasons....+1 to the guy for protecting himself

Not exactly. It's legal in Florida provided it is "securely encased" or "not readily accessible for immediate use" (F.S. 790.25).

(5)POSSESSION IN PRIVATE CONVEYANCE.—Notwithstanding subsection (2), it is lawful and is not a violation of s. 790.01 for a person 18 years of age or older to possess a concealed firearm or other weapon for self-defense or other lawful purpose within the interior of a private conveyance, without a license, if the firearm or other weapon is securely encased or is otherwise not readily accessible for immediate use. Nothing herein contained prohibits the carrying of a legal firearm other than a handgun anywhere in a private conveyance when such firearm is being carried for a lawful use. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to authorize the carrying of a concealed firearm or other weapon on the person. This subsection shall be liberally construed in favor of the lawful use, ownership, and possession of firearms and other weapons, including lawful self-defense as provided in s. 776.012.

I got the joke, but getting back to the topic of this thread. Good deal about the two dead gang-bangers. And the guy showed real restraint, and only fired after being assaulted. Wonder if I could have shown the restraint he did after some punk was yelling at my wife.
‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.’’ Thomas Jefferson

Wrong Click Click. Those clicks were handcuffs.

I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.
