Of possible interest to the forum are the below two bills that are passing though the US House of Representatives:

H.R. 1074: Firearms Interstate Commerce Reform Act
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-1074
Cosponsorship change.
Rep. Smith [R-NJ4]: New cosponsor.

Sep 22, 2010 - Bill Action
H.R. 197: National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2009
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-197

Why the angry topic smilie? Both sound like pro-gun legislation? Though I did not read the fulltext, only the summary.

Tried to figure out HR 1074, looks like it's going to convolute that part of the law. "2a You can't do xyz. 2b You can do xyz." :uhoh:

*shrugs*

But it seems to be good. That's the law I'd like to see passed.

Unfortunately, both of these bills have effectively died in committee as this Congress is effectively over. I cannot see House passing these, much less the Senate taking them up in the Lame Duck session. Perhaps they will be reintroduced during the next Congress...

I don't know how the 'angry topic smile' got on there when I first posted this. My error.

I went back a few minutes later when I noticed it and attempted to remove it.

I am still a newbie when it comes to forums/group lists like this. I am also on an RV'er (http://www.rv.net/ ) list which uses the same format and I have had "posting accidents" over there too.

It's ok, just an honest mistake. None of us will burn you at the stake for it. :p
