Snip:
VALRICO — David James, an Air Force vet who served in Iraq, was shot after an argument with a neighbor over skateboarders at a park, deputies say.

Eight-year-old Danielle James was playing basketball with her stepfather when she saw him get hit by a bullet. As David James lay dying, the Valrico girl picked up his cell phone and called her mother, Kanina.

What? I'm confused. Is it just they're not holding him, or they've actually let him go?
From my experience you need more than a heated argument to shoot a person, like the possibly of threat of life.
