As a fellow LEO,I have never supported open OR CC.I think that we live in a day and age where ppl think they need to carry, simply b/c they can and thats ridicolous.WHen you walk into a restaurant full of kids and other families, and it clearly makes them uncomfortable, your making a scene than. There was zero need to have guns in that place, and than on top of it when the cops ask you for ID,you refuse?Isnt hat obstruction right there?

it's sad these people don't seem to understand that crime and violence happens everywhere. not just in "those neighborhoods" . I liked the comment from shotinmilwakee1988, try to argue with him how no one needs a gun for protection in a family place.

I worked with the criminal element as a correctional officer in a Federal prison and I know what they are capable of doing, and that is why I open carry. The LEO that made that comment couldn't possibly have been in Law Enforcement, or he or she would be carrying as well.

Thank you for posting this. Has the Wisconsin Police Chiefs Association given similar guidance? In close cooperation with WAVE, they lobbied against CC.

BTW - What the h##l is the League of Women Voters doing mucking around in a concealed carry issue?

The Joyce Foundation(WAVE's financial sugar daddy) is spending big dollars courting police chiefs.

Guess who was number 2 (alpha listing)on the "advisory panel" that developed the Joyce Foundation's gun control blueprint? Also note the Wisconsin Chiefs on it.

This guy doesn't know the law, he knows his opinion. This is a fine example of a man who I don't think should be a cop. I doubt he would leave his gun in his locker at the PD at the end of the day, so if I can't, he shouldn't carry either.

I try to judge them all on an individual basis, but the lack of any cop telling this one that he crosses the line makes them all suspect to me.
