It is 4 weeks to the elections. Some of you have not updated your registration and have not voted in some time. You can check yourself HERE and you can also check your fellow gun owners and neighbors. There is still time to register in person! You have until Oct. 25th.

The WAC has their endorsements in the latest issue of Gun News Magazine (it is not updated on their website).

There are some important races this year for gun owners. Justice Sanders should be supported for the Washington State Supreme Court. Dick Muri should be supported for Congress in the 9th District. (South Sound...Deros, gogodawgs, M1Gunr and others live there) In state Leg. district 27 I support Jon Higley.

Any other election thoughts????????

Nick you had a good Idea when we out at the Didier thing.Would it not be good to see where various candidates are rallying and start making appearences. We just showed up at Didiers rally and got to speak to and get a pic with the AG.It also serves to find out who really is supporting our 2A or who is just giving lip service.

It gives us exposure as people are beginning to see us everywhere and realizing we're just folk.
We will also need to look out for the next session of the state legislature.I will bet they will offer up an open carry ban, repackage the proposed assault weapons ban,I bet someone will introduce a bill to repeal state preemption. and who knows what else.It would be nice to have gunowners from all parts of the state show up at the capital like we did last year.We could also do a preemptive strike and try to get constitutional carry introduced. Some of you guys out there are super tuned up on how that all works and if someone wants to work that I'll deffinatly get behind it.That would catch them off guard. It would be a way to be proactive in addition to reacting .

The best thing we could do for Open Carry is make sure in my mind we vote out anti candidates.I know that sounds single issue but for now if we want to protect 2A we may have to do just that. It's about gun rights as a whole open carry being a part of that. One of the best things we could do for open carry is just do it and not make a big deal of it sometimes as it is part of our everyday life.I would commit all of my hair products behind this effort.

Damn I caint spelll for krap today. sorry (;.p

I guess since I have voted because I haven't found a truly liberty loving candidate I can now be subject to being judged by others when they look me up? Good thing I am open and don't have anything to hide about that fact.;)

Is there a limit as to how many people you can look up before you have to pay money? It only let me do 3.

You can look at as many people as you want, there is no limit. This is public information. I have some long time friends who I have held accountable to their voting record!

Anyone watch the debate last night?

I was a little disappointed with Rossi's performance, and with some of his answers, but overall he did pretty good.

EDIT: typo

I watched parts of it. Career politician 1 not answering the questions, followed by career politician 2 not answering the questions.

Murray really struck me with her blatant maternal nannyism. Washington is her "family" and she's a "tough mom." I wish she would realize that she's not my family, and she's definitely not my mom, and she should get the government to leave me the hell alone, not treat me like a child/dependent.

Rossi clearly seems to be the lesser of two evils.

Well, I won't look up my friends to see if they have voted - I don't consider that any of my business. Voting, or not voting, is a personal choice, and I don't see why anyone would want to know what their neighbors are doing. It is one of the reasons I am so glad we don't have to register as a party member to vote in this state.

Have we reached a point where we think we have the right to snoop on our neighbors? Why? Is my vote, or lack thereof, somehow indicative of my worth as a human?

Yea,

I lost track of the amount of times she referred to Washington as her "family" and how she will "fight hard" for us. Rossi will verily have my vote. There's no question about that. I am however, already starting to think that we will need to oust him in 6 years. The important thing now though is to get rid of Murray.

Hopefully though Rossi will realize that as bad as all the "Pork/Earmarks" are for the economy. They pale in comparison to all of the entitlement programs, some of which he supports. Not to mention the fact that it is impossible to have a serious discussion about the economy without mentioning the Federal Reserve. Most likely though he is to much of an "establishment republican" to take those positions, at least publicly.

Most that dont vote still have an opinion on our govt and country. As far as I'm concerned, if you dont vote you have to right to complaign about squat. In fact you might as well go to a socialist country that doesnt even give you a chance to vote. Then again, it kinda seems like our govt is trying to turn us into a socialist country, so I guess you might as well stay and your lack of support for your country will come to you.

I think you have the wrong view on Socialist Countries. You can vote there. As a matter of fact you are probably required to vote in their elections. The difference is that the leadership picks the candidate you get to vote for. That way they can tell the World that they too have democratic elections and their people support the government even more than that "lazy US" where only about half the people get off their @$$es, once every two years.

We make it so easy to vote with our mail in elections and yet only about 60% of the eligible will vote. My ballot arrived yesterday. Rather than read a book I sat with the voter pamphlet, re-read the information, made my decision, and filled out my ballot. All from the comfort of my family room while in my recliner. Did I like all the choices? No, but if we want different candidates we need to start a lot earlier than on election day. The time to start on our next group of candidates is now. If the people elected in November don't start out right we need to be able to show them that we are willing to replace them.

The only reason people like Patty Murray get to spend all that time in Washington DC is because we tend to ignore them unless times get tough, When we're all Fat, Dumb, and Happy, we let our Congress play with our money. When they run out and want more we finally wake up and demand that changes be made.

Let's face it, as an "electorate", we are collectively lazy.

I posted the link because I have friends who complain. These are hunting buddies, that complain about politics, gun laws, etc... I discovered 2 of them haven't voted in years. I intend to hold them accountable!

Why don't you, maybe if we take back our country one person at a time and quit complaining we will make a difference.

Yes, voting is a personal choice. But I am going to hold friends accountable for their actions and words.

Are you going to provide us with a libertarian/constitutional candidate to vote for.....;)

Kitsap County....Re-elect Greg Sandstrom, Kitsap Co. Coroner

I don't live in Kitsap County, but one of my offices is there (I'm a funeral director) and the Coroner's office is up for election this November. I have had nothing but positive interactions in my dealings with the current Coroner, Greg Sandstrom. He and his deputies run a very tight operation, and I've never had a time where I couldn't trust the information I was getting from them (wish it were the same for other Coroners I've dealt with). His opponent has very little verifyable work/management history versus what he claims, and has made a very poor attempt at a negative ad campaign against Greg (because he has nothing else to go on). I don't have insider knowledge on any other issues or candidates, but I can wholeheartedly support Greg for re-election. Thanks!
