I'm throwing this out there because I want to see if any of you have ever heard of this..Just wondering.

Subject: Gun owners ... look what's on the 2010 tax return

You all should read this even if you do not own a gun. They want to control you and everything you do.

Did you know anything about this?????

Verified true on Snopes http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp

Gun owners.... Look what's on the 2010 tax return....

If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered!
It begins... More Freedom gone.... The right to protect yourself and your family gone! Now ALL GUNS must be listed on your next (2010) tax return!

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun. This bill was introduced on February 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT, this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust Obama? You must be kidding!
The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage: www.senate.gov. You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099. You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do.
Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.
Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009: www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/text
Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.

It has begun... Whatever Obama's "Secret Master Plan" is... This is just the 'tip of the iceberg!'

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor' IRS revision, and, as usual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it!

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Goggle HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless: 1) It is registered 2) You are fingerprinted 3) You supply a current Driver's License 4) You supply your Social Security number 5) You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing. Each update change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25. Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 years in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this.. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along. This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..

<H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 (GovTrack.us) <http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45>

Please..... Copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA , whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control.. We all should have the RIGHT TO CHOOSE!

Straight from Snopes: "As was the 2007 version of Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act, the current version has been referred to the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, and the fact that the bill does not have even a single co-sponsor makes it unlikely that it will ever be brought to a vote before Congress, much less passed."

This was old news in 2008, and has been making the "scare-mail" rounds for a long, long time.

This has been circulating for years. Every year the dates are changed and it is recirculated.

This is the funniest part:
BUT, this bill will only become public knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective!

This line appears in all the emails, even before the supposed effective date. My question always is: if it's a secret, how come we are talking about it?

LOL

Yah H.R. 45 has been referred to committee and still has yet to see the light of day. I'm sure it has stayed that way because it'd be political suicide voting that 1984-ish bill in, but IT IS something to continue to keep an eye on. Wouldn't be the first thing they've tried to sneak through...just look at the DISCLOSE Act for a recent example.

Snopes referred to this as "Partly True" only because there is such a bill slithering around Congress. The did say that it had virtually no chance of ever making it into law.

I too have heard of this going around for awhile. I tend to agree with the fact that we must continue to watch this issue. With the way our government is being run lately - this is the exact direction that we are headed.

If this ever did become mandatory I could see a huge uprising when they did come to inspect or take our unregistered guns. It would not be a very pretty sight.

the other thing the gubnit wants to track is gold.

it's in our new health care law that you have to file a form with the IRS for each gold transaction.

All clocks and watches

will be obsolete after 1-1-2011. The National Bureau of Standards has announced that the US will officially adopt the metric system for time. 10 hours to the day, 10 days to the week, 10 months to the year. You can send your Rolex to me and I will do the conversion for a very reasonable price.

I was just asking.I do think however the UN needs to be watched like a hawk.If I ever see our government give in to the UN or try to put UN troops around I will take that as an invasion and they will be dispatched with extreme predudice. We under no circumstances answer to UN treaties. The Constitution an that alone.

Sorry I brought it up as most of you know I do know all things...
Well maybe some stuff..
Oh alright I did manage to dress myself this morning..

there was a good interview on fox news with a commodities trader talking about it, but i can't find it now...

http://abcnews.go.com/Business/gold-coin-dealers-decry-tax-law/story?id=11211611

Section 9006 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will amend the Internal Revenue Code to expand the scope of Form 1099

Starting Jan. 1, 2012, Form 1099s will become a means of reporting to the Internal Revenue Service the purchases of all goods and services by small businesses and self-employed people that exceed $600 during a calendar year. Precious metals such as coins and bullion fall into this category and coin dealers have been among those most rankled by the change.

So every time a member of the public sells more than $600 worth of gold to a dealer, Piret said, the transaction will have to be reported to the government by the buyer.

Being a disabled veteran, all my income is tax free and I don't file a return...

But, I do have a C&R FFL, so BATFE knows I have a few weapons around the place...

I think if at anytime it has standed a chance of being passed through it will be now between Obama and Hillary. They are setting up their own enforcement administration. I am curious to see if the CIFTA Treaty goes through, I think that will be step one, then all other guns will need to registered so as not to become illegal than a tax. I dont think an all out ban could happen, they will instead just nibble at our existing rights.

But, since the possession and use of a handgun for self defense is now considered a "fundamental human right" by the supremes....You can't tax a "fundamental human right."

The $600 threshold for 1099-Misc reporting has been $600 for years.

(From 1099-Misc Instructions)

File Form 1099-MISC, Miscellaneous Income, for each person to whom you have paid during the year:
• At least $10 in royalties or broker payments in lieu of dividends or tax-exempt interest (see Box 8 on page 6);
• At least $600 in rents, services (including parts and materials), prizes and awards, other income payments, medical and health care payments, crop insurance proceeds, cash payments for fish (or other aquatic life) you purchase from anyone engaged in the trade or business of catching fish, or,
otherwise noted. generally, the cash paid from a notional principal contract to an individual, partnership, or estate;
• Any fishing boat proceeds; or
• Gross proceeds to an attorney. See Payments to attorneys
on page 2.

They've just added a reference to Gold, specifically.

Note that Attorney payments have always required a 1099-Misc to be filed. I guess they don't trust Attorney's to voluntarily report income either.
