Hi, I was wondering. I am 19. I know I can't buy a handgun from an FFL, but can I open carry one of my dad's pistols? I've read up on the NC laws and can't find too much about age to open carry.

Welcome to the forums!

You won't find too much about OC in the NC laws since NC is an OC state. The laws only tell us what we cannot do and if there isn't a law in the books against something then it is legal.

Yes you should be able to OC a pistol so long as you are 18 or older. You only have to be 21 to buy a handgun from an FFL dealer. Just make sure you research your local and state laws to understand the places where carry is prohibited.

Hope this helps!
