Correct me if im wrong, but arent you implying that by painting a line through a gfsz it will show those who live within that gfsz they have lost some rights, it seems to me so long as they are within the limits of their property they have not lost any right. Hence no point in painting a line. I thought you were showing lost rights of those who live their and not the person passing by like myself.
Well you asked for a correction if you were wrong, so I thought I would give it a try... You are wrong...
I have to cross my street to get my mail. No law made can, or will stop me from protecting myself, ANYTIME I FEEL THE NEED. Self protection is YOUR RIGHT.
So if I were to live close to a school, what right have I lost? I would not be "able" to carry for protection, that IS a right lost.
If you let the "gun free school zones" stand, what will be next? How about gun free government building zones? Ya 1000' from a government building of any kind... Oh, and could we get a gun free public bus zone? 1000' from any public transportation. And just to make us all better people, 1000' from any bar... And you say "no rights lost"??? What will it take?
Now, this one is for all of us.
I do not care who you WANT to blame for the GFSZ issue. Bush 1,or 2, FDR, JFK???
Now be honest, all of us, it was YOUR fault. It was my fault. We let it happen. It was us, not them...
If we don't get off our butts and stop this kind of thing, it will only happen again (much like the post 9-11 laws).
