I would guess his idea would have been to plant then shoot the tanks, but what do I know. (Not much.)

I do have a silly suspicion that his lunch basket isn't quite full. Anyways, it just makes me appreciate living in the country, at least the unstable are spread out a wee bit more.

Trust me, nothing will happen to a shot propane or gasoline tank without a subsequent ignition source nearby.

I believe the Mythbusters were able to get one to go off FINALLY with quite a few rounds of incendiary ammo. In any case, if I recall the episode correctly, it wasn't easy for sure.
