Now that im a CCW carrier now....LEts compile a list of "NO-GO" 's

It would be nice to compile a list of "no-go" Hotels/Casinos/Malls that have the required signs posted at every entrance around Vegas...

It would be nice to post for people visiting as well.

I will be travling around the city for the next 2 weeks trying to locate some.
If you have one to post (picture optional) let us know...

I will later compile the list in a new post...

    Thank you

Signs carry no weight of law in Nevada. You are legal to carry into any privately owned establishment whether it is posted or not. All a business owner can do is ask you to leave, which they can do for any reason. If you are asked to leave and refuse, then they can call police and you can be cited for trespass.

The only buildings in NV where signs matter are public buildings. Public buildings are government buildings. In order for you to not be allowed to carry there, they must have signs posted at every public entrance and/or metal detectors at every entrance. A mall/casino/hotel/store/etc is NOT a public building.

Plus this is a sight about open carry not conceal carry.

I know there is nothing on the books right now, but I'm thinking of posting a meet up. The OP would be more than welcome to join us. I'm found of the strip but I'm thinking of a little off the strip. Maybe since it's starting to cool down do a trash pick-up along Trop. Between Dean Martin and Valley View.

A bit more info to help, I hope, clarify Nevada concealed carry laws (IANAL).

If you have a permit that is valid in Nevada:

CCW Prohibited Locations defined by NRS 202.3673

    -----------------------------

You may carry concealed in Nevada ANYWHERE except:

    Buildings at the airport,
Schools (including colleges) and child care facilitys,
Public buildings (that means Government buildings) that are posted or have metal detectors.

    http://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRs/NRS-2...#NRS202Sec3673

That includes casinos, bars, clubs, restaurants, whorehouses (they are legal in parts of Nevada), ANYWHERE. They may ask you to leave for any reason, or no reason at all, and, under Nevada's trespass law, you must leave.

You may drink while carrying. The BAC limit is 0.10 (DUI is 0.08, when they lowered it to get federal highway money they did not change the limit for CCW).

    http://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRs/NRS-2...l#NRS202Sec257

    -------------------------------------------------

I hope this clears up any questions. Nevada laws concerning weapons are, for the most part at NRS 202.253 through 202.369.

Have fun in Nevada. Bring lots of money.

Because there are some CCW instructors that think they know it all.

indeed i have heard countless stories of CCW instructors telling their students they are not allowed to carry into a private business if theres a sign posted. The only thing they can do is ask you to leave and trespass you.

Your instructor should have taught you that signs are worth didley squat. In fact, even less than that.
