I was about to drive through a DUI checkpoint with my long gun open carry on the front seat. I chickened out at the last minute.

I made it out and back just fine. On my way to Riverside I took the toll roads. Booth operator didn't even bat an eye. CHP on the tolls didn't light me up (as they had done in the past). When I got into Riverside, no PD issues either. Sorry this was an uneventful thread.
