    Making GFSZ maps

Is there a way to use google maps or something to draw a 1000ft radius circle around schools?

Using the scale on google maps, it looks like the middle school in Stoughton pretty much cuts out 90% of the downtown area from being open carry.

A good idea to educate yourself to try and stay legal, but a very bad idea to carry these maps with you while OC'ing.

The law specifically reads that you must "Knowingly" be in a school zone, to the best of my Knowledge, this is the only law that allows ignorance as a valid defense due to it's wording.

    DON'T make maps.
Don't think of it as `gun control', think of it as `victim disarmament'.

Yes, but it will be a rough estimate at best because school grounds rarely, if ever, are circular in shape.

Never said I wanted to print a map, I just wanted to see how much of my town is affected by this.

Shotgun you make a great point, on google you will only get a point of reference but the law reads school grounds which as Shotgun points out could be of any shape or size. In Oregon for example there is quite a bit of ground that is labeled as school district but is not actually school (the local pool).
