Sacramanto County! WOW!
. . .
BELLEVUE, Wash. & SAN CARLOS, Calif. -- The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and the Calguns Foundation have dismissed their case against Sacramento County, California and its Sheriff, John McGinness, after the Sheriff modified his handgun carry permitting policy. Law-abiding Sacramento County residents may now successfully apply for permits to carry handguns by asserting self-defense as a basis for carry permit issuance. A one-year residency requirement has been eliminated, as has policy language that tied self-defense to arbitrary geographic factors.

Sacramanto County! WOW!
MY buddy is going to be so excited. I was just talking to him the other day about california open carry laws. He was surprised, and a bit leery about what i was saying(i should have brought him a flyer). Anywho, this is good news for sac county gun owners.
If guns cause crime.....mine must be defective.
Interesting that this news release is on an Mississippi site. I couldn't find any reference to it in the Sac Bee.
A citizen may not be required to offer a ―good and substantial reason-- why he should be permitted to exercise his rights. The right‘s existence is all the reason he needs.
It went through PR Newswire. It's posted on SacBee now.
For those that are A&G fans here is a copy of the email I have sent Armstrong and Getty who interviewed the Sheriff recently about this subject.
Second Amendment Win In Sac County
Sheriff John McGinness was right, he didn't lose the lawsuit he faced, because he DID what he should have done to begin with and the suit was dropped!
I still say you shouldn't prostrate yourself to the Government and ask permission for your rights, just Open Carry, you know, "Bear Arms". CaliforniaOpenCarry.org
did you hear that???
i think i heard the first domino falling!!
ive been expecting something like this to happen,
ever since edward peruta posted about the benevolent friends of the police stuff!!
i know they are different cases, but it was strong juju..
and then the call for folks in all the counties!
i just kept my fingers crossed, and went to my happy place!

All power is inherent in the people,
it is their right and duty to be at all times ARMED!
Let's not rest until ALL counties in California are "shall issue"!! This is really good news....
For those in Sacramento county, congrats! ...and please continue to fight the good fight for the rest of us stuck in other parts of the People's Republik of Kalifornia.
The SDSO should have done just that. If Gore did just that, Peruta's lawsuit could have been dropped. If he losses (I think the county would), not only would they have to change their policies but the SDSO would have been the trigger that would resonate through the entire PRK. Can you imagine the discussion when the Chiefs come together for a dinner after a court loss?
Enjoy it Sacramento!
.. that our country is Blessed by God.
We can make changes in our country peaceably.
If I could take my AR with me,.....I might just go back to Cali.

How does this effect incorporated Cities?
I live in Riverside City, Riverside County.
The most important lesson I have learned from my time in the freedom movement and further studying it is that trying to create an organization without preventing the issues caused by narcissistic sociopaths and democracy is a lot like heading to sea in a sieve. It'll never work.
The complete and utter truth can be challenged from every direction and it will always hold up. Accordingly there are few greater displays of illegitimacy than to attempt to impede free thought and communication.

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=353861 They are fighting to make all counties shall issue.
Also this case which very well make CA shall issue as well: http://www.ctgunrights.com/00.Webpag...to.Dismiss.htm
Calguns Foundation also has a similar case (Sykes) however I am not familiar with it.
I thought I read an article awhile back that the Sheriff for Riverside county was accepting "self defense" as good cause??? Correct me if I'm wrong please Riverside residents.
Now let's see if we can get this to happen down in Solano County. I'm a little nervous to OC in Vallejo, but I've heard a bunch about the OC-"Rally" that happened awhile back at the park downtown, so the more I OC there, I'm more comfortable with it...
That flowchart was farking ridiculous.

It ain't what they call rock and roll
And the Sultans...
Yeah the Sultans, they play Creole"
Should I take this to mean that only Sacramento County Residents get the permit? Can non-residents apply? If you move, does it nullify the permit?
