    I never saw it mentioned

But there is and Amendment to the state Constitution about changing the wording of the meaning of the right to keep and bear arms. I never saw any kind of publicity about it, never heard a thing. Any Kansans know anything about what I'm talking?
‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.’’ Thomas Jefferson

I believe it is to strengthen the rights of those in Kansas.

    It passed.

"A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home and state, for lawful hunting and recreational use, and for any other lawful purpose."

Apparently the previous provision read: "The people have the right to bear arms for their defense and security; but standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, and shall not be tolerated, and the military shall be in strict subordination to the civil power."

The primary reason the change was made was to make it an individual right to bear arms, not just a corporate one.
