Which do you think is the better choice?

If the choice is only one of them, then I like the springer over the mini 14. What about a an ar15 platform in7.62x51? The ergonomics are much nicer, in my opinion. Not that my opinion means much.lol

I have 2 Ruger mini-30...7.62x39 and an M1a....It depends what you are going to do with them.
Ruger is short, not to heavy, accuracy around 3 moa and a good deer rifle.
My M1a is a tack driver and more powerful.
