As a firearms instructor and noticing a need for one place that lists all the training opportunities and firearm related events in the area I created a Meetup Group called "Firearms Training in Eastern NC" http://www.meetup.com/Firearms-Training-in-Eastern-NC.
Joining the group is free!. Gun stores and firearms instructors are required to pay $10 annually to advertise their stores or classes for the year. All the other advertising options cost hundreds of dollars per event.
I wanted to offer an avenue for students and instructors alike to find and advertise training opportunities and events to attend without having to scour 50 different sources. Let alone spending hundreds of dollars to advertise which drives the cost of the training up.
If you are conducting training in NC or know of an upcoming event (NRA or DU fund raisers, etc) that should be included on the calendar have the organizer contact me so we can get it listed.
