The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Starting with puttin' out the colors for the day, then it's off to the capitol building:

Thurston County Annual Veterans Day Ceremony begins Thursday, November 11 with The Star Spangled Banner performed by Washington State American Legion Band at 10:30 a.m. Master of Ceremony retired Army veteran JW Johnson shared that in showing honor and respect the ceremony will promptly begin at 11 a.m. with cannon shot by Tumwater American Legion Post #166 and prayer by Chaplin Bob Cox of the Marine Corp League followed by guest speakers. Olympia VFW Post #318 Honor Guard will provide 21 gun salute followed by Taps. No cost.

There is a potluck luncheon at Ira Cater Post 318 - I usually go there too... afterwards, I'm thinking the <strike>Ft Lewis</strike>JBLM cemetary... after which I'll begin my celebrations.

Remember to have a little salt & water available, for our veterans who have not yet returned home... :salute:
