What about those people that protest the soldiers funerals and call them horrible names? What about the kkk, the nation of islam, the radical muslim clerics? You don't think it's fair to say that they have the right to do and say what they want, but to also say that you disagree with them and don't think they should?
The fundamental difference with all those people you mention and us open carriers is that they aren't trying to gain acceptance with the general public. Not only are we trying to do that, we are lobbying legislators in a hope they will give us back rights we've lost through idiotic legislation(PFZ's and the like). The people you mentioned could give two craps about who they offend or upset. We open carriers need to give two craps or we will not achieve our stated goal.

I firmly believe that the people that carry like that are causing more harm than good for the movement.
what legitimate self defense purpose does a ruger 10/22 hold?
seriously?

it is just a form of drawing negative attention.

I have a MI Pistol made from a Ruger 10/22. I would not feel under-gunned with it.

It's funny that some folks just cannot understand that rights mean that other people have the right to do things that I don't agree with... or to do those things in ways I don't agree with.

And if a person is intellectually honest then they must realize the truth contained in the paragraph above works both ways.

But then if a person is convinced that their way is the only way... then they don't understand what rights are.

And any sentence that contains words to the effect of: "I support their right to do it but I don't think they should do it." is an oxymoron.

Whereas the person making it is just a plain moron...

We appreciate the time you took to write Lansing Mall. Lansing Mall is private property. As part of our mall’s Code of Conduct, we ask that our guests honor our rule of “no firearms or illegal weapons.” We take no position to anyone’s right to carry a firearm in public. In order to foster a family atmosphere inside the mall, we ask that our guests honor all of our rules, including “no firearms.”

I have a Michigan Pistol Remington 870, I think I'm over-gunned with it.

Great minds think alike ;)

This is [just barely] still a long gun [& with the right loads has a 9 round capacity].

No, I doubt it. Even if you buy a gun at Bass Pro at GLX where OC is welcome, the person who sold the gun to you will carry the gun as he/she escorts you to the front door. Makes me feel like they are a secret government agency lol.

I wonder how the "family atmosphere" was at the Chuck E Cheese that had masked armed gunman rob the place yesterday. Didn't the criminals think about the kids? Didnt the criminal realize it was a family place?

http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/mornings/attempted-robbery-at-chuck-e.-cheese-caught-on-tape-118110

that must be fake,we all know california has the best gun laws in the country!it is impossible for there to be any criminals in such a well and fully regulated place.
