UN CEDAW treaty: "general and complete disarmament"

They went out and said it in the open!

While CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women) is actually not true gun legislation, they have the phrase "general and complete disarmament" in the text.

See text here:
http://www.un.org/womenwatch/daw/cedaw/text/econvention.htm

I found this via this link here: http://www.parentalrights.org/index.asp?Type=B_BASIC&SEC={0042D75F-CD9C-418B-920C-F9EA902E83AE}&DE=

I know a Parental Rights amendment website isn't about guns, but they do strongly promote the 2nd amendment (Gun Owners of America is a allied group with them, btw), and this article, while not about the gun issue (it mostly covers the enforced feminist and socialist agendas of the UN treaty), nevertheless it's how I found this information.

I run a personal blog, and wrote about it here: http://drpaleophd.blogspot.com/2010/11/alert-united-nations-cedaw-open-assault.html

I hope it hasn't been voted on yet?

Uhhh.... pardon me, but isn't something like this, some proposed bill, act/etc. not only sexist but highly discriminatory?

Yes, indeed. But what else can you expect from the UN? I quote the treaty: "A change in the traditional role of men as well as the role of women in society and in the family is needed to achieve full equality between men and women."

As if this wasn't enough, they want a "new international economic order".

Sound like fun?

Yeah, nuts isn't it. These people are simply using this issue to further their agenda, just like the nutso femi-nazis and more radical lefties here in our own country. They know exactly what they're doing and why. Their followers are being told that there is no difference between the sexes and that changes in the "traditional roles" of men and women are needed in order to bring about level playing fields and equality. What they are pushing for is equal outputs, not equal accesses. And even then, there is not now and there never will be men and women who are the same. They are hardwired from conception to be different and for reasons these idiots try to avoid dealing with. God didn't make any mistakes. Men and women are different because that's the way things were meant to be. And thank God for that.
