If you go to bfads.net and their message boards, you'll see lots of stories of rude people-its not just walmart employees getting trampled.

I wonder if there'd be much attempts at line cutting if you were one of the first few people in line and were OC? :D

Not that I do this anymore, haven't in years. In fact, I just bought a doorbuster digital camcorder from BB online this morning.

I haven't decided if I'm going to Dunham's Sports or Walmart tomorrow morning. It will be both or only 1 of them.

I plan on carrying at both.

If there was anything worthwhile to be up at that hour, I'd do it.

Against all reason, I did the 7am sale at Sears this morning. Crowds? What crowds?
Got a set of tools for 40% off (normally $80, I paid $48), and it's Craftsman, so I'd call that worthwhile.
(I'm learning the care & feeding of my new-to-me motorcycle.)
Tomorrow I'll try Penney's and a hardware store, one or two items on my list at each place.

I bet OCing would definately get you a better spot in line
Just kidding.

Instead of 6 overturned shopping carts the manager should have used 6 OCers lol

Spent the morning OCing at Brookfield Square. Due to my warm coat, I need to wear my gun much more obtrusively to avoid concealing. As always, a few people noticed, but most did not. Stopped at Potbelly on the way home and enjoyed a big wreck on wheat with my wife and my gun at my side.

I'm surprised security didn't escort you out and then call the police.

I decided to go to WalMart at 4am. My daughter works there so I had a good visit with her and several of her fellow coworkers. Daughter had to point out my .45 to several of them but none were offended or in fear. They all seemed to know about the 2nd amendment and then they learned about Article 1, Section 25 of the Wisconsin Constitution!

I talked to a couple of store security people, a few cashiers and several floor employees. There were times when there were 4, 5 or 6 gathered around all taking part in the OC discussion. So overall, WalMart employees seem to be right on top of things.

Ah, what a wonderful day to shop and OC! Intentionally got a late start around 10 am to avoid the pushing & shoving (knowing that I'd miss the screamin' deals, but that's OK.)

We went to Burlington, Sturtevant, and Racine, shopping at WalMart - Menards - K-Mart - Farm & Fleet (wife went in for one item, I stayed in the car) - Target - Home Depot - Shopko, then stopped at Woodman's on the way home for a bottle of distilled spirits. No problems whatsoever.

In fact, other than one preteen boy at Target whose eyes bugged out when he saw the piece, not one person seemed to notice, or care if they did notice. Almost felt like it's becoming accepted, although it's much more likely that the store personnel and other shoppers were all too tired and harried to see anything they weren't shopping for. Days like this make me wonder why I didn't start carrying sooner!

Open carried as I shopped at the Walmart and Target stores in Sun Prairie. Had to get a drink at the Starbucks in Target as well.

Then I went to the Home Depot on Madistan's east side.

No one even batted an eye that I noticed.

Like you Viper, Ive never had an issue ANYWHERE in Madison...I usually hit (as my 5yo son calls it..) Ghetto Walmart on Hwy30/51...and the thrift stores on the east side...never had anyone look either...although last week in McDs in Portage I explained how it was legal to a mom in playland! That was interesting...
