Excerpt from a recent story on WTOP's website, about some Prince George's County police that are being charged in a Federal investigation regarding police corruption:

http://www.wtopnews.com/?sid=2122565&nid=25

Officer Sinisa Simic is accused of using a firearm while conspiring to traffic cocaine. He was ordered held without bond Wednesday at a hearing in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt.

Sinic and two other county police officers -- Sgt. Rich Delabrer and Cpl. Chong Chin Kim -- were arrested Monday, just days after County Executive Jack Johnson was taken into custody on corruption allegations.

According to the MSP testimony before the GA House Judiciary Committee this past spring, the only people they think are qualified and trustworthy enough to carry firearms are MD LEOs...

So, how's that working out for you, Col. Sheridan?

Here is the official press conference regarding this conspiracy of corruption, given by U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein:

So, one has to wonder, if these "police" will be prosecuted under the new "Maryland EXILE" program, that stipulates MANDATORY jail time for ANY felon who carries a gun during the commission of their crime?

http://www.justice.gov/usao/md/Exile/index.html

This is taken from PG County's EXILE overview document, available at the above website:

Under Prince George’s EXILE, the USAO will consider cases for federal prosecution where–
1) the evidence supports a successful prosecution; and
2) the case meets one of the following criteria:
a) the defendant used or possessed a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime or violent crime;

Hopefully someone will bring all these incidents up at the HB-9 testimonies on Tuesday. I wish I could be there to list all these incidents myself, in rebuttal to the statement made last year during the HB-52 testimonies by MSP that only police are trustworthy enough to carry in MD, but my schedule won't allow for me to travel to Annapolis this year.

Good luck folks--you're fighting an uphill battle against a systemically corrupt institution in MD. Our prayers are will you all...

Here is a little highlight list of the tremendously high level of trustworthyness and professional responsibility displayed by various MD LEOs over the last several years. (a few are from 2007 and '08, but the VAST majority of these incidents were from 2010, and a few from 2011...)

Just wanted to remind people, in case anyone wanted to bring this up at the HB-9 testimonies...

Remember, that last year, at the HB-59 testimonies, that the MSP spokesman claimed that "only MD LEOs can be trusted to carry in MD".

So how's that attitude working out for you, MD?

Officer Gahiji A. Tshamba (shot and killed an ex-Marine, after a bar scuffle, was intoxicated)

Detective Anthony N. Fata (shot himself in the leg, made up story about a black assailant)

Baltimore City Police Officer Steven Kolas (ran over dirtbike rider in cruiser-lost Federal Civil Rights lawsuit)
Baltimore City Police Officer Brandon Barnes (ran over dirtbike rider in cruiser-lost Federal Civil Rights lawsuit)

BPD Officer Harry Dodge (Shot fellow officer and innocent bystander)
BPD Officer Harry Pawley (Shot fellow officer and innocent bystander)
BPD Officer Toyia Williams (Shot fellow officer and innocent bystander)
BPD Officer Latora Craig (Shot fellow officer and innocent bystander)

PG County Officer Sinisa Simic (Federal extortion, smuggling charges)
PG County Sgt. Rich Delabrer (Federal extortion, smuggling charges)
PG County Cpl. Chong Chin Kim (Federal extortion, smuggling charges)

PG County Officer Darin Rush (DWI)

AA County Lt. James Cifala (Federal Child porn charges)

Rockville City Officer John Thomas Ferguson IV (4 counts of second-degree assault, resulting from a bar fight he started)

PG County Cpl. Eddie L. Smith Jr (charged with being an accomplice to bank robbery)

MSP TFC David McKinley Thomas, Jr (fraud and misconduct)

AA County Officer Joseph F. Mosmiller ( fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and two other misdemeanors)

MSP Trooper Bruce Allen Tucker (possession and distribution of child pornography)

Morningside Chief of Police David Eichelberger Jr. (selling stolen firearms)

MSP Trooper First Class Steven Spoonire (manufacturing controlled substance, growing pot)

PG County Officer Anthony Kline
PG County Officer Sean McAleavey
PG County Officer Reggie Baker
National Capitol Park Police Officer, John Ardovini (all charged with brutality and coverup in Jack McKenna brutality incident)

and on and on and on....

Want to know what kind of cop your dealing with...
Hand them a copy of the Constitution...I've had them walk
over and drop them in the trash. I wouldn't trust them as
far as I could throw them.

In MD, they would arrest you for sedition, and keep the Constitution as evidence. And in most jurisdictions, the courts would convict you...

Sure they're the only ones trustworthy enough to carry guns. Just like DEA agents are the only ones professional enough to have guns in classrooms (oops.)

Huh!?! Would not the so-called Lautenberg Amendment forbid that?

You know as well as I that MD government doesn't recognize Federal (or it's own State) Law as being legitimate and applicable in MD--at least not when it is politically expedient...

Baltimore FOP head accused of being drunk, assaulting a Sedan driver, and brandishing firearm.

(FWIW, this same Baltimore "top cop" has a DUI conviction from about 10 years ago, and has also had a restraining order filed against him in a domestic violence case--and yet he STILL is allowed to carry in MD...)

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2011/...co-f-o-p-accused-of-pulling-weapon-on-driver/

Too bad he wasn't convicted of a crime of domestic violence. 5 years MANDATORY in Federal Prison. Did someone say MD was a ****hole, 3rd world country? Oh yeah, me.

Me too.

Help me - I need to get out of here!!! :cuss:

We average one to two officers here a month statewide in some sort of trouble. As a matter of fact, todays paper.....Grand larceny! It seems to be like that everywhere theses days. Now I am not going to bash all LEOs cause I know of some good ones on the street personally. But it does make you wonder? Clean record, passing extensive mental evaluations, board interviews........................ I honestly feel and know of people with prior histories from their younger days and have matured would make better officers than ones now never experiencing anything or growing up.

Head of the Special Ops and SWAT (which in MD stands for Sociopathic Wiseacres Augmenting Tyranny) team in Charm City, "lends" his personal revolver to a restaurant owner, and then the gun gets stolen, and when she reports it, the serial number is traced back to him. Thanks, Major Brown, for contributing your personal handgun to the thug-life problem of Baltimore...

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2011/03/31/city-police-major-suspended-over-weapons-investigation/

And in other news, a Howard County police officer is arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest when he punched a female BPD officer in the head, while she was arresting his friend. So now, in MD, they are literally "eating their own".

http://www.abc2news.com/dpp/news/cr..._crime/two-arrested-in-police-officer-assault

On and on... Will the corruption and misconduct ever stop in Maryland?

And the MSP says that WE can't be trusted to carry? I think the REAL reason they don't trust law-abiding citizens, is because if the People were armed in MD, the police would have to be a LOT more careful who they abused, brutalized, extorted, and shook down...

If, as it is stated in the Bill of Rights, that a "well regulated militia [is] necessary to the security of a free state", then what does that make a State like MD, where the People have no RKBA?

Certainly not a "free" state...

In MD, it should read:
"An arbitrarily disarmed populace, being necessary to the security
of a police state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms
must not be acknowledged..."
