For those of you looking to participate in a managed deer hunt, Loudoun County has decided to conduct a series of them at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve in January 2011 in an effot to control the oversized herd which is resulting in their declining health.

The selection of hunters is lottery based and those interested in applying should go register online at: www.loudoun.gov/webtrac using activity number 267501-01. In person registration is also available at the Parks & Rec Administrative Offices.
