frist time open carry Green Bay WI

Today was my frist time to open carry in GREEN BAY .Went to Wallmart in east Green Bay and to GOODWIILL. No one asked but did get looks mostly by kids .This was a graet frist time i will start to carry every day .

see how easy it it. Normally if you don't make abig deal of it, no one else will either...of course there will be that one guy or girl that will point you out to a manager.

Kids are fun. They ask the greatest questions, and generally don't have the preconceptions their elders do.

I was in a PickNSave the other day & a kid (maybe 7 or 8 years old? didn't come up to my shoulder) got away from his mom & walked in between me & the display I was looking at. Came to a dead stop looking right at my gun, looked up at me, I smiled at him & said hello, and by that time Mom was calling for him so he skedaddled.

If you're comfortable with carrying, most other people won't even notice, and the few that do will see that you're OK so they won't be worried. (Well, other than the WAVE ghouls & the Brady Bunch, but there's just some people who will never see reason.)

Congratulations. Wasn't so bad, was it?

I had a kid experience a week or two ago while grocery shopping. Two boys who looked about 4 were riding in the grocery cart and one said to the other "That guy has a gun, he could kill us." The father looked up at me and said to the kid "Don't talk about other people!" As luck would have it, I encountered the same family in the next aisle as well, and the kid started up about my gun again. One more aisle over, there they were again. I thought "I'm never going to get away from this kid." This time the dad said "Did you ever think that maybe he's a cop?" The kid apparently found this a plausible explanation and said "Oh yeah. He's a cop. There's goes that cop with his gun!"

Well, it shut the kid up, and I passed by at least twice more before leaving the store. Too bad the kid is instilled with the notion that only cops or bad guys who could kill them carry guns. Oy!

Other than that I've only had kids twist their necks a couple of times and once I think I heard a mom saying "So what?" to a kid who had looked at me and tugged her coat.
