i just got an renewal notice from the Texas DPS for my CHL (it expires in May). Anyone renewed lately that can give me an idea of what the time frame is from application to plastic in hand?

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. No, but my advice is to do it now. I had to stop carrying for about 4 weeks, and felt naked during that interval.

I was informed that 6 months prior to the expiration date or any time prior to the 6 month deadline!
