From the WAVE Facebook:

Once again using incomplete facts to fit their perceived conclusion.

Quote:

"Samantha Flaherty http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40572312/ns/world_news-americas/
Firearms from U.S. being used in Mexico drug violence
www.msnbc.msn.com
U.S. firearms agents estimate that around 80 percent of the weapons used by Mexican drug traffickers come from the United States, where cartel leaders are hiring Americans with clean records to make the purchases for them."

The complete story can be found here:

The United States Government Accountability Office in a recent report made the following statement about the Mexican viewpoint on tracing guns:

"We determined that Mexican law enforcement authorities do not view gun tracing as an important investigative tool for them. One reason for this is that ATF’s trace results do not include the detailed investigative information on U.S. citizens that Mexican officials have requested (such as the criminal histories of those who may be involved in firearms trafficking). This information must be requested separately from the trace results. Some ATF officials also told us that ATF has not adequately communicated the value of gun tracing to Mexican officials. Consequently, Mexican law enforcement officials view gun tracing as merely a tool that ATF uses to further its own investigations. The Mexican officials did not see the long-term benefits of gun tracing in reducing the flow of illegal guns to Mexico by targeting the sources of these guns and the organizations that traffic them on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border."

While the liberals fret about not giving American citizen rights to illegal aliens, this continues:

Wave doesn't care about getting it right, as long as they attain their goal. The ends always justify the means with these types. They are socialist revolutionaries plain and simple.

The facts have never stopped them before from spewing the bs they do. Reminds me of when the ATF released a report on the guns recovered from crimes and traced them to the stores where they were originally sold. It ended up being a gun store in VA.After this Handgun Inc. or The Brady Campaign or whatever they call themselves these days (you can polish a turd but it is still a turd) they start with the usual hysteria about how this store is selling guns to criminals who come in off the street blah blah blah. So the ATF, which has never been very friendly to gun owners, actually released a statement COUNTERING what the Brady Campaign had said by stating "The report does NOT state that this store is selling guns in a illegal manner, just that the guns recovered were traced to this store. Nothing more." I just about fell over that after reading the release from the ATF shutting down the Brady group. But even after Heller and McDonald they are still trying to come up with crazy things to do. They have become irrelavent yet still cling to a lost cause. Go figure.

WAVE on its Facebook says the ATF is cowering because of the NRA's influence:

Quote:

"Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort The NRA is "the most powerful lobby in the United States." Elected officials believe that gun policy "is a lightning-rod issue, and they don't want it to injure them." Gee, thanks, Fearful Elected Officials. While you cower and quake at the feet of the NRA this year, another 100,000 of your fellow Americans will be ...injured or killed with guns. Maybe Santa will bring you some courage this year...

Behind the scenes, federal agents in charge of stopping gun trafficking to Mexico have quietly advanced a plan to help stem the smuggling of high-powered AK-47s and AR-15s to the bloody drug war south of the border.

sounds like yet another reason to fully secureour borders right?

Honestly though I've seen the 20/20 or dateline "report" on the "american guns seized in Mexico". In their footage I saw alot of m-60's and other military grade weapons. Nothing that you or I could go to the store and regularly purchase. These were weapons that obviously were supplied to the Mexican govt. by the US govt to fight the "war on drugs". These weapons were then either given to the cartels by agents of the Mexican govt that turned coat or were taken from the Mexican govt by force. Certainly they WERE NOT the type of weapons that came from the hands of the average US citizen.

Exactly...
And that wasnt mentioning the Mexi Prez was put in place by the Cartels.

WAVE makes more sense if this phrase were applied: "We Are Very Eccentric", in place of the current title
