We are doing something interesting this year that I'm kinda excited about, so I am anxious to share.

We live about 12 hours away from some very dear friends. Their kids are the closest thing to grandkids we have, and we love them dearly. We weren't able to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas with them this year, so we will spend it together virtually.

I have software and a WiFi device that allows me to display my computer screen on the big screen TV. My friend at the other end will simply be connecting his computer to his big screen with an HDMI cable. His setup works as well as mine, except for the cable limiting the placement of his laptop.

Anyway, we're going to Skype each other Christmas morning and place our computers to view each other's living rooms. We've tested the setup, and it works well. It won't be the same as being there, but it'll be dang close.

Merry Christmas everyone!
